INNOCENT questionnaire (Adobe pdf format - opens in new window)

We may refer your inquiry to one of our sister organisations in United Against Injustice. If you visit the UAI website page, you can select the organisation that best suits your needs.

If your case is from America or Australia, you should find an organisation to contact from the list of innocence projects which can be found on the Innocence Project web site.

Meetings: we hold meetings in Oldham, Greater Manchester, every month. For details, click here to go to our meetings page.

We are sorry that INNOCENT cannot provide a phone number. If someone wants to donate funds to Innocent so that we can set up an office and staff it, please let us know!

Seeking advice, help and support from INNOCENT

If you would like to find out whether INNOCENT can you by supporting your case or providing advice, then you should attend our meetings, if it is possible to do so. If you are in prison you should find a friend or family member who knows about your case to attend our meetings. Click here to go to our meetings page.
If you live too far from Oldham to attend our meetings, then please check whether you can attend one of our sister group meetings (click here to see a list and contact details) or follow links from our links page .

If you are contacting INNOCENT (or any other organisation providing help) for the first time in order to seek help for someone who is wrongly imprisoned, please remember to include basic information, including:

  • crime of which the person was convicted;
  • when and where the person was tried;
  • length of sentence;
  • what stage the case has reached (convicted, appealed, applying to the CCRC etc.); and
  • where the (alleged) crime, police investigation and trial took place.

You can download, print and complete our questionnaire: INNOCENT questionnaire (Adobe pdf format - opens in new window). You can send this to a prisoner who can send it direct to us, or you can complete it on behalf of the person in prison and send it to us. If you can do this, it will save time in dealing with your case.
