| The day before his trial for murder, Christy McGrath was persuaded by his own lawyer to change his plea to guilty of manslaughter. Christy had fought with the victim in self defence, and hit him with a brick. But after he recieved a life sentence, he learned that the victim died later from strangulation, something Christy could not have done.
